Avoid Group Job Interviews, if You Can...

Generally speaking, group interviews are not good news and it’s best to avoid them if at all possible. These kinds of get-togethers can be very difficult depending on the intentions of the parties involved.

Groups tend to ask more questions than you’d expect with a single interviewer and they’ll probably cover a wider area. You’ll have to earn the respect of the entire group if you’re to have a real shot at the position, not a simple task. These affairs can be very stressful - another reason to steer clear.

Some firms will require unanimous support from all the members of a group before an offer of employment can be made, while others will go with a group majority and allow some diversity of opinion
