Employment Background Checks
There was a time when people trusted each other. If you said something was true, people tended to believe you. But those days are sadly gone. Now everyone is demanding proof. Today everyone wants to document everything they hear. A lot of employers will get a copy of your credit record from one of the three major credit firms and then jump to often erroneous conclusions based on what they see.
If they catch a pic or you tokin' away on a joint, or you holding aloft a bottle of your favorite intoxicant, your job prospects will die a sudden death! Be sure your social pages are all nice and clean - G rated clean. Put lots of pics of your family members on there. Also Google your full name in quotes to see what Google has on file. Then check again with your middle initial instead of your full middle name. Then one last shot with no middle name or initial. What did you get? When you fill out your initial job application you’re sure to stumble on one blank that asks for your social security number. As I’m sure you know, this number is the key to all your personal data. Somewhere down the form (usually at the very bottom) you’ll find a statement authorizing the employer to perform various personal background checks on you. Armed with that authorization and your personal social security number, your life becomes an open book. But what can you do? In the social security blank write: “to be furnished when an employment offer is made”. In most situations they won’t notice or if they do, they probably won’t make a comment. If challenged, you’ll have to choose between providing the number and losing the job opportunity. Entire Site is © Copyright 2011, Ariza Research, All rights reserved - ABP
